You need to hear The Truth! Songwriter/pianist/vocalist Jesse Gannon and his band, The Truth, combine the improvisational elements of soul/broken beat and post-bop grooves with a sophisticated harmonic palette and garnish with introspective, unforgettably lyrical melodies. Jessegannontruth, as they are also known, deliver a shockingly fresh and dynamic show brandishing a cast of fearless and exciting musicians. As Gannon says, "If you don't want to be put into a genre, create one!"
"Superhero Killer's name and logo - a pair of bloody and broken Superman-like spectacles - suggest that the band is intent on killing its idols. But the four-person act is something of a supergroup itself, comprising hard-gigging lifers and well-traveled session men." - Riverfront Times "Nothing's more ultimate than a Superhero Killer." - STL-Today
Treehouse is Steve Sulewski (vocals and guitar), John Pyron (lead guitar), David Fasman (bass), and Jeremy Shanas (drums). Steve and John have played with each other since March 2010 and met Jeremy and David in March of 2011. Their original music is informed by experience of life, literature, the road, and love. Influenced by blues, folk, and rock musicians like: Martin Sexton, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Phish, The Bad Plus, the songs are diverse and thought provoking. There is a quiet passion about these tunes.
"Luster’s got an inviting rock-on-the-indie-side sound; it’s a pleasing listen, and one easily enjoyed. Live, they’ve got a palpable energy, electric and catchy. Their brand-new release, Run From Dogs, has been on my frequently played list since I got it." - Playback "Luster's newest... slick and accessible catchy pop." - BabySue "Luster has the ability to hook you with their catchy melodies and build up a song to a fever pitch. After a first listen to Run From Dogs, it’s been on heavy rotation since." 5/5 Pachyderm

The Root Diggers are a local band that love to play old-time '20-30's styled country-bluegrass-blues. Comprised of old friends that also happen to be award winning musicians, The Root Diggers have the ability to combine both traditional and contemporary elements of jug-band/juke joint jazz. The Root Diggers' sound appeals to listeners of all ages as they are quickly becoming one of St. Louis' most celebrated old-timey string-based groups.
One Take's music is as diverse as their backgrounds and draws influence from all over the country and the world - an acoustic amalgamation of rock, reggae, jazz, blues, and bluegrass.
Brian Curran is in his thirties, but don't let that fool you. Brian has been studying blues and fingerstyle guitar for almost 20 years. Brian puts on a great show and always gets the audience involved. He is known to sometimes tell as many stories and jokes to the listeners as songs. Altogether, whether solo or with a band, you can't go wrong no matter what your taste in music might be. Going to see Brian is just a plain old fun time.
